Preparing for a Muslim death

When it becomes known that a Muslim is dying, family members should contact their local Muslim funeral arranger and gain advise on the janaza and burial process local to where they live. Your local Masjid will have the services in place to help you to fulfil your Islamic obligations.

The organising of a Muslims funeral should take place with close family/friends and your local Masjid that provide a muslim funeral arranger. Islamic laws and customs guide this process, which begins from the moment it becomes clear that a Muslim is close to death.

If you are expericencing difficulty in any way during the organising of the janaza or burial or are unable to locate your local funeral arranger,  please do hesitate to call our 24 hr emergency helpline.

Please remember that family members & friends should help the dying person to think of his or her own transgressions, to ask for forgiveness and then to seek Allah's mercy and forgiveness through prayer.
